Welland Main Arena to be renamed LIV Communities Arena

10-year, $500,000 partnership now official

The City of Welland has officially renamed the Welland Main Arena to LIV Communities Arena, following the approval of a naming rights agreement by City Council earlier this year. New signage has now been installed at the facility entrance, symbolizing a growing partnership between the City and LIV Communities.

As part of the 10-year agreement, LIV Communities will contribute $500,000 toward arena repairs and maintenance—supporting vital infrastructure upgrades while easing the financial burden on local taxpayers.

The funding will help address ongoing repair needs, ensuring the facility remains safe, accessible, and functional for the community. Additionally, LIV Communities covered the full cost of the arena’s new signage, further demonstrating its commitment to Welland’s recreational spaces.

The arena continues to serve as a hub for sports, events, and community gatherings—making this investment a meaningful step in supporting local recreation and civic pride.
