Niagara Falls planning massive fireworks display to ring in 2026

Niagara Falls has a grand New Year's Eve celebration planned for anyone by the falls as the clock strikes midnight tonight.

A shared fireworks celebration will light up the sky for nine minutes, with fireworks launching from both sides of the falls. Families can also enjoy a bonus fireworks show at 8:00pm.

If you're planning on heading to out for New Years Eve celebrations, it's going to be a bit cheaper.

Niagara Transit is offering free travel from 6:00pm to 2:00am on its buses around the region.

Meantime if you're heading out of town, Metrolinx will be offering free GO Train rides across its entire rail network, which includes three trips to Toronto and three to Niagara from Toronto.

Many people will be watching the festivities from Times Square this New Years Eve and at midnight, a NEW BALL will drop!

It's the largest ball ever, 12,000+ pounds and 12 feet wide with 5200 crystals and LED lights.

3 tonnes of confetti will also rain down on the 1 million revellers in New York City.
