Niagara College's Project Brew to once again feature student-made beer

Project Brew is back this Friday at Niagara College with a new theme: CyBrewPunk 2099.

Hosted by students in Niagara College’s Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program, the outdoor beer festival runs from starts at 4:30 at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus.

Guests 19 and older can sample 12 original student-crafted beers, enjoy a food menu created by the School of Culinary Arts, and vote for their favourite brew to help determine the People’s Choice Award.

A panel of judges from the industry and college will also evaluate the beers, with one standout student receiving a $4,500 scholarship from Lallemand Brewing.

Proceeds support the Matt Soos Memorial Scholarship, honouring a Brewmaster graduate who passed away in 2015.
