HDS serves more than 1100 inpatients and over 22,000 outpatients annually
Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre is taking a major step forward in its expansion plans.
The St. Catharines-based hospital has hired HDR Architecture Associates to lead the next phase of its development - known as the Functional Program stage.
The Canadian firm will define service and space requirements for a new inpatient building on the hospital’s existing site. Backed by a $2.5 million planning grant from the province, the expansion aims to improve access to rehabilitation and complex care across Niagara.
Hotel Dieu Shaver is the region’s only rehab hospital, caring for more than 1,100 inpatients and 22,000 outpatients annually.
