Drink spiking awareness campaign laughing in St. Catharines

Crime Stoppers of Niagara and the Niagara Sexual Assault Centre, together with the City of St. Catharines and local partners, are launching the Niagara Drink Spiking Awareness Campaign.

The initiative will equip bars, restaurants, and campuses with training, resources, and awareness tools to help prevent drink spiking and create safer spaces across the region.

The campaign launch comes as the school year begins, a time when social activity increases and many new students arrive in Niagara. Organizers note this is a period when the risk of drink spiking is heightened.

The campaign includes free staff training, educational posters, awareness resources, and certificates of recognition for participating venues.

In addition, Crime Stoppers is offering a guaranteed $1,000 reward for information about drink spiking incidents reported during September.
