Brock gets $2.4-million boost to train more nurses for Niagara’s healthcare future

Brock University will soon be training more nurses to meet Niagara’s growing health-care needs, thanks to a $2.4 million investment from the Ontario government.

The funding will expand enrolment in Brock’s nursing programs, creating space for up to 60 additional students by 2029.

This initiative is part of a province-wide $56.8 million commitment to expand nursing education, adding 2,200 new nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and registered practical nurses to Ontario’s health-care workforce by 2029.

The province has also committed $500,000 to help Brock purchase new clinical supplies and lab equipment for its nursing students.
