$250k grant coming to Niagara Health to lead three-year study

Niagara Health has received a $250,000 grant to lead a three-year study on strengthening research programs in community hospitals across Ontario.

The project, led by Dr. Jennifer Tsang of the Niagara Health Knowledge Institute, will examine how hospitals can expand research capacity and improve patient care.

Niagara Health says a key focus is ensuring Niagara patients have the same access to clinical trials and innovative therapies as those treated in larger academic centres.

Findings will be shared across Canada to help community hospitals integrate research into their culture and deliver better outcomes for patients.
