What's Good in Niagara? NFPL urging kids to take part in Summer Reading Club

Ontario libraries are encouraging summer reading to help kids avoid learning loss.

Fun programs like reading challenges, storytimes, and crafts keep children engaged.

Operations Supervisor with the Niagara Falls Public Library Dan Maksenuk says their Summer Reading Club can help kids stay sharp.

Maksenuk says there's also a competition for students from different schools, which always adds another level of excitement.

Librarians note that reading just 15 minutes a day can help kids stay sharp and ready for school in September.
