Taylor Swift fans around the world celebrated this week, as the megastar announced her engagement to Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.
In Niagara, there are thousands of 'Swifties', many of which went to her Eras Tour last November when it took over the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
Welland's Mikayla Guarasci is one of those fans, and says she was surprised by the news when she saw it.
Hallie Trickett from Port Colborne, who went to stops on the Era Tour across North America, says it's great news because it means she'll be happy after countless heartbreaks in the past.
Swift, who is sometimes known for her breakup songs, just announced another studio album. Guarasci says she likes hearing her happier music, and expects more of that on this album.
Swift and Kelce had been dating since early 2024.
