What's Good in Niagara? Canada Post asking to keep dogs away from carriers

Canada Post putting out a reminder to dog owners around the province.

That was Dave Sutherland from Canada Post, talking about the incidents with canines, and he's not shocked about the uptick in the summer months.

For the safety of everyone involved, all Canada Post is asking is to be mindful of wear your pooch is before you open that front door.

Safety is paramount for Canada Post, as they already have other policies in place when it comes to dogs outside of a home

Sutherland broke down their request to dog owners as:
Be careful when you answer the door, so your dog does not slip out.
Keep your dog inside, in a fenced yard or tied up far from the front door or mailbox.
Keep front doors and fence gates closed.
Keep your dog away from the screen door, even if it is locked.
Please ensure you have your dog on leash and under control when out walking.
