Several serious safety violations found
Niagara Regional Police stopped a commercial dump truck in West Lincoln after a concerned citizen reported a wobbling tire near Caistor Centre Road and Regional Road 20.
On June 13, a certified commercial vehicle inspector with the NRPS found serious safety violations during a roadside inspection, including an inoperative brake, an air leak, and only three of ten fasteners securing the rear wheels.
The Ministry of Transportation completed a Wheel Separation Report, documenting the company for future tracking.
The 32-year-old Brampton driver and the company face multiple charges.
The vehicle was deemed unfit and towed from the scene.
