Niagara Regional Police have charged a 19-year-old Niagara Falls man in connection with a June collision that claimed the life of a 22-year-old motorcyclist.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on June 12 at the intersection of Thorold Stone Road and Dorchester Road.
Investigators say the motorcycle was travelling eastbound through a green light when a westbound vehicle turned left into its path.
The impact threw the rider from the motorcycle, causing life-threatening injuries. He later died in hospital that night.
Following an extensive investigation by the Collision Reconstruction Unit, the accused has been charged with careless operation causing death. He is scheduled to appear in court in early January.
