Niagara Regional Police are searching for answers after a stolen vehicle was found in the recreational canal.
Monday just before 10:00pm, police were called to Dain City after reports of a car entering the water. The NRPS dive team responded, but found no occupants, while the vehicle was identified as a black, 2008 BMW 328.
Police say the vehicle was reported stolen earlier that evening in Welland in the Lincoln Street and Crowland Avenue area.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
