Pipe leak has caused the disruption
Niagara Health is informing the public of a temporary service disruption at Welland Hospital due to a recent pipe leak caused by aging infrastructure.
After a detailed assessment, the hospital’s Operating Room and recovery areas have been temporarily closed for reconstruction.
To reduce the impact on patients, procedures are being rescheduled to the Marotta Family and Niagara Falls Hospitals where possible.
Restoration teams are already at work repairing the affected areas to ensure services can resume as quickly and safely as possible.
