Nine vehicles removed for safety violations
On May 21, Niagara Regional Police, the Town of Lincoln, and the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario launched a joint commercial motor vehicle enforcement operation in and around Lincoln.
The initiative targeted vehicles deliberately bypassing the Town’s Inspection Station on the QEW amid growing community concerns over increased traffic in Lincoln and Vineland.
During the operation, 31 vehicles were inspected, resulting in nine being removed from service for significant safety violations.
Officers also seized three licence plate sets and laid 15 charges related to improper tires, missed inspections, insecure loads, and other non-compliance issues.
