The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is addressing misinformation circulating about the Royal George Theatre planning application, emphasizing the need for accurate and complete details.
Town officials confirm that Council did not waive, reduce, or eliminate any required parking fees for the project.
The redevelopment triggers the need for one additional parking space, and in line with Town policy, the Shaw Festival will pay cash-in-lieu for that space when the Site Plan Agreement is finalized.
The Town is encouraging residents to evaluate information carefully and consider whether claims are factual, properly contextualized, and reflective of the full story.
