Cards will contain brick from former arena
The City of Niagara Falls has launched a unique fundraising initiative that honours the city’s sports heritage while supporting a good cause.
Limited-edition acrylic cards containing a piece of brick from the former Niagara Falls Memorial Arena are now available for purchase.
The arena, which served the community from 1950 until it was decommissioned in 2010 following the construction of the Gale Centre, remains a cherished landmark in local memory.
Adding a personal touch, each card is autographed by Steve Ludzik, a former player with the Niagara Falls Flyers.
The commemorative cards are priced at $100, with all proceeds benefiting the Niagara Falls Activity Subsidy Fund, which helps local residents access recreational programs.
Cards can be purchased online or in person at the Gale Centre.
