New process aimed at speeding service up
The City of Niagara Falls has expanded its local ticket appeal system to include more by-law violations beyond just parking tickets.
The Administrative Monetary Penalty System allows residents to resolve fines quickly and easily - without going to court.
This streamlined process is aimed at speeding things up, providing flexibility, and improving service.
Instead of appearing before a judge, residents can request a review through a two-step process: an initial screening, followed by a hearing if needed.
The city says this system helps reduce pressure on the Provincial Offences Court by keeping minor cases local and simple.
