Niagara District Airport is strengthening efforts to fight sexual exploitation and sex trafficking by partnering with #NotInMyCity, the RCMP’s Federal Policing Central Region, and Crime Stoppers of Niagara.
Through the partnership, awareness signage has been added to the airport terminal, staff have completed specialized training, and ongoing campaign content will be shared across the airport’s platforms.
Human trafficking is one of the fastest growing crimes in Canada, with the vast majority of victims being Canadians trafficked domestically, often in situations that remain hidden due to fear, coercion, and other barriers to reporting.
