Air Canada flight attendants say they will continue their strike, despite a federal back-to-work order directing them to return to their jobs.
The Canada Industrial Relations Board had ordered the airline and its striking workers to resume operations for Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge flights beginning Sunday afternoon.
The union representing 10,000 flight attendants says it will challenge the order, calling it a violation of workers’ rights, and insists the strike will carry on.
Air Canada has warned that flight disruptions could continue for at least a week as it works to restore normal service.
