What's Good in Niagara? Health experts warning of high temps this week

Seniors and those with pre-existing health conditions at risk in humid weather

With temperatures reaching the mid-30s this week with humidity, a number of health experts want you to make sure you’re staying as cool as you can.

Manager of Environmental Health with Niagara Regional Public Health Colin Horne says there are some groups that are more vulnerable when the weather gets this hot.

He adds that you should constantly check on your loved ones with the weather this hot, especially if they don’t have air conditioning.

Niagara Region Public Health has a number of resources available on their website as well to follow in the event of extreme heat.

Tuesday's high is currently set to hit 27, but feeling like 35 with humidity.
