Niagara Regional Police are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Niagara Falls.
Officers were called to the area of Stanley Avenue near Main Street around 2:30 a.m. on Friday.
Upon arrival, they found a 55-year-old woman with serious injuries. She was transported to hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators say a dark blue 2010 BMW was traveling southbound on Stanley Avenue when it struck the woman in the southbound lane.
The 20-year-old driver from Niagara Falls remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
