Niagara-on-the-Lake's Heritage Trail Committee have received a generous donation from the Goettler Family Foundation to support the ongoing restoration of the Heritage Trail.
The current focus is upgrading the trail from Line 3 Road to Line 4 Road into a multi-use path.
Future improvements are also in the works, with public feedback recently gathered for the next phase of the project, stretching from Line 3 to Line 8 Road.
Just over four kilometres of the trail will be enhanced with limestone screenings, preserving the historic route while improving access for residents and visitors alike.
