Niagara Health is inviting the public to a free community health event on Friday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Montebello Park in St. Catharines, in recognition of World Hepatitis Day.
The event will offer free, confidential hepatitis C testing, along with information about Niagara Health’s Hepatitis C Care Clinic.
Attendees can also connect with local organizations offering resources on liver health, addiction, mental health, and other community health and social services.
Many Canadians are unaware they are living with hepatitis C, which is transmitted through contact with infected blood.
Early detection is crucial, and effective treatments are available.
