Suspect was arrested in Hamilton
A two-month investigation by Halton Regional Police has resulted in the arrest of a Grimsby man in connection with a human trafficking operation spanning across Ontario.
Police say the investigation began in April and revealed that two adult women were being trafficked by the accused at various points in 2024 and 2025. The women were allegedly subjected to forced labour under threats, coercion, manipulation, and physical and psychological abuse. The accused reportedly profited financially from their exploitation.
On June 3, police located and arrested 45-year-old Nathan Johnson of Grimsby in Hamilton. Search warrants executed in both Hamilton and Grimsby led to the seizure of over $37,000 in cash, body armour, fentanyl, cocaine, and other items related to human trafficking.
Johnson, who also goes by the aliases “Dingo” and “Dante,” now faces multiple charges. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
