The Niagara Region's newest long-term-care home has officially opened its doors.
Officials gathered Friday to celebrate the official opening of the new Gilmore Lodge Long-Term Care Home and Community Hub at 60 King Street in Fort Erie.
The $86-million project received major support from all levels of government, including a $35-million investment from Ontario’s Ministry of Long-Term Care.
The upgraded facility, which began welcoming residents in December 2024, is a key step in modernizing long-term care in the Niagara Region.
