Nearly 500 vehicles stopped Saturday night
Niagara Regional Police say one driver fled during RIDE spot checks in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls over the weekend.
Police say the driver, who was one of about 500 vehicles stopped on Saturday, fled the scene after being asked to comply with demands. They've been identified, but no arrest has been made.
In total, 20 drivers were asked to give breath samples, with three resulting in an alert - meaning an automatic driver's license suspension for three days.
